Objects from Japan, thoughtfully brought together.
Japan Edit is an Australian-based collection of objects sourced from makers and suppliers across Japan.
Our approach is simple: rather than presenting an endless catalogue of individual products, we select pieces for the way they work together — ceramics, glass, timber, textiles and objects for everyday living.
A cup may be paired with a handcrafted coaster. A ceramic bowl with Japanese chopsticks. A teapot with cups and a timber tray. Pieces from different makers, regions and traditions are brought together to create considered combinations that feel complete.
We are drawn to natural materials, tactile surfaces, subtle colour and the small variations that give Japanese-made objects their character. Our collection includes both traditional craft and contemporary Japanese design, chosen for how each piece feels, functions and complements the objects around it.
We call this process the edit.
It allows us to work across different Japanese makers rather than being defined by a single supplier or style, creating collections that are distinctly Japan Edit while respecting the origins of the individual pieces.
The result is a changing collection of useful, beautiful objects designed for everyday rituals — pouring, eating, gathering, resting and living.

Some are made by traditional makers. Others are contemporary interpretations of everyday Japanese design. Together, they reflect a simple idea: the things we use every day should be useful, beautiful and a pleasure to live with.

KITCHIBE
KITCHIBE is a Japanese fragrance brand that brings together scent, porcelain and craftsmanship to capture the atmosphere of Japan.
Created through a collaboration between a Japanese fragrance house and porcelain artisans, each KITCHIBE candle pairs a carefully composed scent with a distinctive sculptural ceramic vessel. The softly irregular form is inspired by the natural movement of fabric, while the coloured interior subtly reflects the character of each fragrance.
The collection draws inspiration from distinctly Japanese landscapes, traditions and moments — from cherry blossom and matcha to washi paper, Zen gardens, yuzu and fragrant woods.
Designed to be experienced beyond the fragrance itself, each KITCHIBE candle becomes a beautiful ceramic object that can remain in the home long after the candle has burned.
